Uplift Community Alliance Receives Recognition from People Helping People

Uplift Community Alliance was recently recognized with a Community Legacy Award – Honorable Mention for Resources at the annual People Helping People Awards Luncheon and Ceremony, held August 7, 2025, at Salt Lake Community College.

During the presentation, Kathryn Thomas, Executive Director of People Helping People, highlighted that while our organization now operates as Uplift Community Alliance, for many years we have been an essential resource for their clients returning to school and work through our Brighter Tomorrows program.

Our President, Carrie Drown, was honored to accept the award on behalf of Uplift Community Alliance. This beautifully framed recognition now has a special place on our new History Wall at the Program Office—a reminder of the impact we have made and continue to make in the community.
